The hotel is situated in the traditional neighborhood of Sannenzaka, just a small walk to Kyomizudera. There are many souvenir shops around, food stalls and sweets, so there are plenty of options for a quick bite. Even after they close at 18:00( yes quite early), there is a convenience store just a couple of minutes away. There is also microwave at the lobby where you can heat up food and eat it in your room or at the lobby tables. The room itself was spotless and spacious for Japanese standards. The bathroom was equipped with a new age toilet ( the one we all love) and shower products. I really liked the bed, which was very firm, but if you don’t, you can ask for a topper or extra pillows. If you want to go the center of the town or to the train station, there is a bus stop just a minute away. Finally, the people at the reception were the stars of this hotel. Very polite, friendly and helpful, ready to accommodate our every need. They will also store your luggage, if you have a late flight and give you cookies when you check out!

- Room: Super spacious and clean! - Location: Bus stop that connects to Kyoto station is 5 mins away. There are 2 rental kimono shops right beside the hotel. There is udon/shave ice restaurant located in front of the hotel. 15 min walk to the Yasaka pagoda. Great location because it's located near the bottom of the hill so you won't be hauling your luggage for a long time to get to the hotel. - Staff: Super nice and helpful! They gave us a parting cooking gift on check out. And they even asked if we had an umbrella when it was raining (super thoughtful staff!) - Ammenities: The terrace is awesome, especially on a sunny afternoon looking at Kiyomizu-dera. The drink machine had a very tasty lemon water drink haha. All in all, great hotel and would stay again! Thank you Terrace Kiyomizu!

Convenient location to Kiyomizu temple and the district leading up to the temple. Easy access to public transport (bus route down the road). There were English speaking staff that helped with our smooth check-in in. They also offered luggage delivery servi, es so we had ours shipped to this location and used their shipping services to ship it to our next location. Ground floor had amenities needed, including free warm/cold drinks from their dispenser. Comfort wise for the room - spacious and had everything you needed. Beds are firm however wasn't too much of an issue for us. Washing machine and dryer available upstairs to use as well. Would stay here again if we come back to Kyoto!

Thank you all and pls send this message to everyone. Two staff try really hard to look for reservations too And email me the information. Hotel: was clean, cozy, quiet, spacious and decorations was lovely. Amenities was perfect as well Location was too far from subway. Only dislike because we are not familiar with the bus. Summary. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and every time I come back to Kyoto, I will for sure come back. Good job management team. Good job staff team. Great job owners! Location

Super highly recommend it. We were so sad to leave. We loved this place so much! The friendly and approachable staff were the highlight, they became like friends and were so helpful. Even the cleaning staff were so friendly. Excellent location, right in the heart of historical Kyoto, the value was incredible. Just a short walk to Kiyomizu Dera temple, and lots of cafes around. A family mart is just 10 mins away. The rooftop view is just beautiful at night and the rooms are so very clean. We loved this place so much! We want to stay here again!
